WELCOME AUTUMN

Autumn is here. Maybe, it's not our favourite season: we start school, holidays end... But its colours and smell are incredible. And its festivities are very amusing, don't forget Halloween! To do better this time, I want to share a nice poem with you. Hoping you like it, here it is:
"Come", said the Wind to the Leaves one day.
Come over the meadow and we will play.
Put on your dresses of red and gold.
For summer is gone and the days grow cold.

BACK TO SCHOOL

This year will be special for the English classes, we've got a new classroom where we are going to study and of course, we are going to have fun...At least I hope so. And you know, we are going to Valencia!!! We'll spend one week over there and we will be able to enjoy ourselves speaking English and doing a lot of fun activities... We leave the 2nd of October! The best begining for this first term, so, prepare your school stuff and WELCOME TO SCHOOL AGAIN!

EASTER TRADITIONS

Easter is a Christian Holiday celebrated in the spring. On Easter Sunday many families go to chuch and people wear beautiful Easter bonnets.
People send nice Easter cards.
On Easter some cities have an Easter Day parade.
During Easter we can see colorful Easter eggs. Easter eggs are hand painted or dyed. Painting and dying Easter eggs is a lot of fun. The eggs are put into beautiful Easter baskets. Children have to find the Easter eggs that are hunt in the gardens. Another activity is an Easter egg roll. Egg rolling is very popular in England and the rest of the UK and is an Easter Monday sport. Hard-boiled eggs are rolled down a hill. Customs differ from place to place. The winner's egg may be the one that rolls the farthest, survives the most rolls, or is rolled between two pegs.
On Easter we see the Easter bunny. The Easter bunny brings Easter baskets filled with colored eggs, candy and toys to the homes of children on the night before Easter.
Children can eat chocolate Easter bunnies and jelly beans.
People also eat hot cross buns. They are traditionally eaten hot or toasted on Good Friday, with the cross standing as a symbol of The Crucifixion.
