My dear pupils, you know that we are studing the Republic of Ireland. The 17th of March is Saint Patrick´s Day, the patron saint of Ireland.
It´s celebrated all around the world. Many famous buildings are lit up in the
green colour in honour of Ireland. There are also big parades, people wear
green and hold a shamrock. You can also try to find a pot
of gold at the end of a rainbow, but be careful with the leprechaun! A leprechaun
will be taking care of it and he is very clever. If you succeed in trapping one, them
the pot of gold will be yours. That´s why many children prepare leprechaun´s
traps on St. Patrick´s Day Eve. I've been preparing some activities about Saint Patrick's Day that I hope you enjoy, and you can learn more about this nice country.
Welcome to the English corner, a page where you can watch our activities during the months, you can read, listen to music, play and have lots of fun... but only in English!
I hope you enjoy this page.
